Centerstream Hires Thomas Pike as Vice President, Development Engineering

Centerstream, a district energy network and distributed energy developer, owner, and operator dedicated to providing efficient, reliable, and forward-thinking energy solutions to its partners, today announced the appointment of Thomas Pike as Vice President, Development Engineering.

In his role, Pike will lead Centerstream’s front-end engineering and technical solution development for greenfield, brownfield, and publicly procured projects, shaping district energy concepts from early screening through front-end engineering design (FEED).

“Tom’s depth of technical expertise and proven leadership across complex energy environments make him a critical addition to Centerstream’s team,” said Mason Miller, CEO of Centerstream. “His ability to guide projects from concept through financial close and into execution strengthens our fully integrated model – delivering disciplined, high-performance solutions at scale.”

“Centerstream’s advantage is pairing energy infrastructure expertise with real estate execution discipline, so projects fit the development timeline, the operating reality, and the long-term user experience,” Miller added.

Pike has directed public-private partnership (PPP) technical negotiations and development for major campus energy programs, including Syracuse University’s combined heat and power project and Eastern Michigan University’s energy conservation program. He has also managed the financial close for PPP concessions at institutions including Howard University and Georgetown University.

“I am excited to join Centerstream and contribute to a platform that prioritizes technical rigor, long-term performance, and collaborative delivery,” said Pike. “I look forward to working with the team to develop innovative energy solutions that meet the evolving needs of our partners.”

Prior to joining Centerstream, Pike served in senior engineering and development roles at CenTrio and ENGIE North America, where he oversaw full lifecycle delivery of district energy and renewable projects. Throughout his more than 35-year career, he has led technical development for energy infrastructure projects exceeding $1 billion.
