We recently had the pleasure of hosting members of ASHRAE St. Louis Chapter for a tour of Centerstream’s upgraded district energy facility in downtown St. Louis, along with a presentation on its history and transformation into a modern, high-performance energy hub.

Guests learned about the plant’s history and saw firsthand how we’ve modernized the system to deliver reliable, efficient energy to critical infrastructure across the city.

Meet Our Plant Manager, Donnie Peek

Team Member Image

Donnie brings over 40 years of combined cycle plant experience and began his civilian career at Centerstream as an Auxiliary Operator 2 after serving in the US Navy. His technical expertise, leadership, and dedication led him to roles as Control Room Operator, Maintenance Lead, and now Plant Manager.

He has held a Class 1 Stationary Engineer’s License for 31 years and is known for his expertise in high-pressure systems, plant reliability, and power generation. In 2019, Donnie led a full auxiliary plant modernization, replacing the 480V distribution system and 13.8kV generation infrastructure that support Centerstream’s reliable operations.

With a career built on hands-on experience and a commitment to excellence, Donnie continues to lead with integrity, innovation, and a strong focus on safety.

Meet Our COO, Amir Memic

Amir brings over 15 years of experience in energy infrastructure, project development, and operations. At Centerstream, he leads development efforts and daily operations while supporting M&A and financial strategy.

Before joining Centerstream, Amir was Director of Development at NextEra Energy, where he helped bring 1.5 gigawatts of renewable energy online, with more than 5 gigawatts in the pipeline. He also led major transmission projects across Texas, working with global developers and key industry partners to strengthen grid reliability.

Amir plays a vital role in advancing Centerstream’s work to deliver sustainable, efficient, and resilient energy systems.
